I decided that the background could be experimented with such as different bold colours or even projecting a pattern on to it.
After coming up with these ideas I took them into practise.
The first set up I did was projecting a pattern onto the background.
I did this by getting two images which looked like wall paper patterns and I printed them onto acetate so I was able to use it under the projector.
I set up the lights with one big soft box and tungsten light at the end of the background and the projector to the side, so more or less the whole background was filled with my pattern.
However was soon as I took the pictures the flash went off, so it cancelled out the projected screen.
So then after playing around with the lighting such as moving it around making it darker, the only solution I could think of it to have a really slow shutter speed and no flash. The settings were 1/3 second and F5.6.
However the lighting isn’t fantastic and I will not be using this idea for my final shoot.
Then I thought I could change the background by using different filters.
I did this by having the studio set up with a big soft box on my left and right at the end of the background and then to the front of the background I shun tungsten light with a coloured filter hung across.
