My Aunty Julie wanted portrait pictures of herself in black and white for her mum to have for mother’s day.
She was very nervous however she got past that and we worked together really well. She knew what she wanted which made it easier for me. I did a few in colours but with her being so tanned from just coming back from holiday and with the studio lights she didn’t look a natural colour. Good job she wanted black and white images.

She was happy with the shoot and felt there were a few pictures she could send as gifts.
I gave her a disk with 18 pictures for her to select and apparently she got every single one printed out and her mother loved them. Which I thought was great.
I also was asked by my best friend mum to take pictures of her kids as she also wanted a nice portraiture picture. She wanted studio based shot and I was going to use the white background. From what I learnt with Julies shoot and with her having very tanned skin I had to tell Beth not to put on any fake tan, at all since it makes you look very orange against the white background.
However she still turned up with fake tan on “not as much as usual” she said however it was enough to make her look like an umpa lump. So these images had to be in black and white as well.
With Joe being a teenage boy he didn’t love the fact he had t have his picture taken so he was hard to work with. However I got a few shots I was happy with.
Beth’s mum loved them and she also printed out every single one and when you walk down there hallway it’s like the hall of fame of Beth and Joe there is that many up.
