Over the past month we have done a few tasks which has helped me develop skills and become more confident with my work. One task included a location shoot of both modern and old buildings. When on location health and safety is very important as there are more issues around you, such as not obstructing walkways or leaving equipme
nt laying around like lighting equipment, tripods or cables which members of the public or your self could trip over or knock over. On the day I took pictures of the royal armouries, it was a very dull, cloudy day. However as the day went on the weather improved and you could see in my pictures how much the sky makes a impact on the images. When taking these pictures my aim was to get really good and interesting images which could represent the royal armouries on a different outlook. I wanted to look at the building in a different perspective like upclose or inbetween gaps which no one would normally see. Such as the image with the glass, that was down beside the tower, against the w
indows looking into the buliding, I looked and the reflection of the glass and the building created a nice effect. For the old building shoot, I was actually in Cornwall on holiday so I decided to take pictures of the farm house in which I was staying. However the weather was dull, foggy and raining the majority of the week so I had to make do and get on with the task. After looking back and comparing the modern building and the old building pictures and my experiences whilst taking the images, I enjoyed the modern building shoot as it was a lot more interesting, I could do more with the images and they was taken on a nicer day. Which made my experience more enjoyable.
